The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
The Boy Scouting program is outdoor-oriented with emphasis on camping, woodlore, and swimming. The other main directive of the program is community service. Our Scouts participate in many projects which benefit Croton in general and Holy Name of Mary Parish in particular. Boy Scouts meet on Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00 PM in the gym.

The Cub Scouting program is open to all boys in the first thru fifth grade. The pack meets once a month in the HNM gym, usually on the second Friday of the month. Individual dens of 6 to 10 boys meet one or two times per month. There are many fun activities and learning opportunities at the pack and den meetings and outings, as the Scouts prepare to advance to their next rank and then to Boy Scouts.
